Introduction to Information Technology Engineering
The field of information technology engineering is a subset of the technical department at the university. This field transmits knowledge to the audience through which methods of collecting, using and transmitting information are possible.
The study, design, construction, commissioning, maintenance of hardware and software systems, collection, organization, classification and transmission of information are the most important goals that IT engineering pursues. The most important ability of graduates in this field is the correct use and timely use of information. The core of this field is computer engineering, especially software.
Nature of Information Technology
First of all, it is better to first deal with the nature of information technology in Iran. IT field in Iran has an interdisciplinary nature. In the sense that it is not a pure discipline and has emerged from a combination of disciplines such as management, industrial engineering, electronic engineering and computer engineering, especially software. The interdisciplinary nature of information technology has led to various universities such as Tarbiat Modares, Khajeh Nasir, Tehran, Amirkabir, Sharif and Elm-o-Sanat in the master's degree, some technical faculties of the free and national universities in the bachelor's degree and scientific universities - Applied and modular in the associate degree to present this field.
